Chinese authorities described the move as an attempt to suppress political dissent and consolidate a “green terror,” which refers to political persecution and abuses of power by the DPP.

Chen Binhua, a spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office (TAO) of the State Council, criticized the DPP authorities’ initiative to dissolve the Chinese Unification Promotion Party (CUPP), which has drawn sharp criticism from several groups and individuals on the island.

The spokesperson stated that boosting reunification and opposing separatist attempts is justified and legitimate, as it aligns with the general interests of the Chinese nation and the prevailing historical trend.

Binhua pointed out that the DPP authorities’ attempt is driven by an inherent separatist agenda and called on people from all sectors of society in Taiwan to recognize the true separatist nature of the DPP authorities and stand united against their abuses of power and political manipulation.
