Valery Revenko, head of the International Military Cooperation Department, stated: “The CSTO Joint Chiefs of Staff agreed on the plans to conduct the Nerushimoe Bratstvo-2026 war exercises with the CSTO forces and the Barier-2026 joint exercise with CSTO radiation, chemical, and biological protection troops and medical support.”
Revenko added that these drills will take place from October 12 to 16 at the Losvido training ground in the Vitebsk region, in northern Belarus.
The CSTO Secretary General Taalatbek Masadikov announced by that this alliance, consisting of six post-Soviet nations, will conduct exercises in Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan next year.
The CSTO, which currently includes Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan, is based on a 1992 treaty, although it was formally established in 2002.
