In his message commemorating the 201st anniversary of Bolivia’s independence, 48 hours before his presidency’s first nine months, on November 8, 2025, Paz announced the reforms that will mark the country’s development during his term.
The president announced from the Casa de la Libertad (House of Liberty) in Sucre that he will send the Investment Bill to the Plurinational Legislative Assembly (ALP) for public comment and debate.
This bill is the first in a series of initiatives aimed at promoting transparency, justice, monitoring reforms, and strengthening the country’s international integration.
He emphasized that the country’s transformation has already begun, but, in keeping with the strategy of blaming previous administrations, he stated that the problems accumulated over two decades cannot be resolved in just a few months. He also anticipated that the Executive would submit, in the coming months, the draft regulation on Hydrocarbons, Mining, and Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs).
Paz mentioned, as a positive item, that the second meeting of the Economic and Social Council will be held in September to monitor and assess the progress of the reforms implemented by the government.
