It features more than 36 photographs and works by around 20 renowned photographers who have won international awards, according to a statement from the Office of the Historian of the City of Havana.
Curated by World Press Photo, the exhibition offers a journey that allows viewers to connect with the devastating effects of climate change while simultaneously discovering resilient solutions for such scenarios.
In a subsequent section, the initiative focuses on “the development of alternative energy, science-based food solutions, indigenous practices, and protests against oil pipelines aimed at preserving Earth’s fragile balance.”
Featuring 21 award-winning projects from the World Press Photo archive, the exhibition has previously been presented in Brazil—during the COP30 World Climate Summit—as well as in Egypt and Mongolia.
This exhibition is being held in partnership with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and with the collaboration of the European Union Delegation and the Fototeca de Cuba.
