During her daily address via “Citizen Power” media outlets, the leader stated that Nicaragua is a “land of freedoms, heroism, and dignity,” forged by generations of men and women committed to defending the nation’s sovereignty and well-being.
Murillo emphasized that the Nicaraguan people are heirs to the legacy of figures such as Ruben Dario, Andrws Castro, Jose Dolores Estrada, Benjamun Zeledon, and Augusto C. Sandino, whom she described as symbols of the country’s history, dignity, and struggle.
She also invoked the legacy of Commanders Carlos Fonseca and Tomas Borge, noting that the Sandinista National Liberation Front is part of the history and identity of contemporary Nicaragua.
The Co-President stated that the nation is built upon values of loyalty, truth, commitment, and solidarity, and underscored that families work daily to safeguard tranquility, security, and the common good.
She added that the country is called upon to strengthen peace, harmony, stability, trust, and prosperity as indispensable conditions for advancing economic and social development and continuing the fight against poverty.
In this regard, she affirmed that Nicaragua maintains relations of fraternity, solidarity, and complementarity with the peoples of the world, with the aim of contributing to the construction of an international landscape of peace and cooperation.
