Gomez told Prensa Latina, “For all friends of Cuba, these events reaffirm our commitment to the Cuban Revolution, its people, and the ideas that Fidel bequeathed to each of us.”
The president of that organization told this news agency that the idea of the author of “La Historia Me Absolvera” (History Will Absolve Me) that a better world is possible when all people are united under a common goal: social justice is especially important in these times.
Gomez, a Medicine Doctor, stressed stressed that Fidel taught healthcare professionals that this kind of care is a right that every human being should enjoy, and it is dignified when it reaches those who need it most.
She expressed, “As a graduate of the Latin American School of Medicine (ELAM) in Havana, along with more than 5,000 other Bolivians, we thank Fidel and reiterate that we will always be grateful for his legacy.”
Gomez informed that, in the context of the event marking the 100th birthday of Fidel Castro on August 13, members of the MBSC and Cuban residents in this nation had the great honor of complying with a concrete gesture of solidarity with a donation of more than 3,000 dollars and 22,300 bolivianos (more than 2,000 dollars) for the purchase of solar panels.
