The movie, released in January 2026, has become the highest-grossing film of all time in Russia.
It follows the continuing adventures of Cheburashka. He remains friends with Gena, but one day, a year after the events depicted in the first film, their peaceful life is disrupted by an unexpected event.
The book fair, with Russia as a guest of honor, provides a wide-ranging cultural program with events from all disciplines.
On the second day of the literary event, Cuban journalist and writer Marilyn Bobes will be honored with a panel discussion on her work, featuring her colleagues Laidy Fernandez, Olga Marta Perez, and Basilia Papastamatiu.
Organized by the Cuban Book Institute (ICL), the Cuban Book Chamber, the Ministry of Culture (MINCULT), the Russian Embassy in Cuba, and other institutions, the fair is dedicated to the 100th birthday of the Leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro (1926-2016).
After ending in this capital on August 16, the fair will travel to other provinces until September 16.
