The books “Fidel Castro ¿Que Se Encontro al Triunfo de la Revolucion?” (Fidel Castro: What Was Found Upon the Triumph of the Revolution?) by Juan Carlos Rodriguez Cruz, and “Fidel Castro Con los Intelectuales, Nuestro Deber es Luchar” (Fidel Castro with Intellectuals: Our Duty Is to Fight), are among the titles on the program for the fourth day of the literary event, which runs until Sunday in this capital.
A panel of sports legends will share their experiences with Fidel with the audience, and several record labels will host a discussion about his presence in Cuban music and present the playlist “100 Canciones Sobre Fidel” (100 Songs About Fidel).
Cuba’s largest literary event opened its doors on Monday, offering the fairgoers more than 1,300 new titles and two million books at the Cultural Station on Linea Street and 18th Street in this capital’s Vedado neighborhood.
As customary, in addition to book launches and sales, Thursday’s program includes the presentation of the National Publishing Award.
The book fair will end in this capital on August 16, moving later to other provinces until it closes in Santiago de Cuba province on September 6.
