The main event in the Commander-in-Chief’s birthplace brought together young people from various sectors, delegations from Italy, Portugal, Chile, and Puerto Rico, as well as Joel Queipo, First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) in the province, and the leader’s grandson, Fidel Antonio Castro Smirnov.
The day’s activities included the planting of 100 trees, a gathering of generations, the presentation of membership cards to new PCC members, and a patriotic evening event held in the early hours beneath the legendary cedar trees of the eastern estate.
At this emblematic site, Biran historian Antonio Lopez joined attendees in remembering moments from the life of the revolutionary leader, whose ideas and legacy were honored through cultural performances and songs within the historic monument complex. jdt/car/dpg
