The military institution announced on its official Telegram channel that units of the South battle group, as a result of active offensive actions, took control of the village of Pervomaryevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
The Defense Ministry added that, meanwhile, the units of the North battle group, after successful offensive operations, captured the village of Kudiyevka in the Ukrainian province of Kharkiv.
It estimated around 1,390 casualties inflicted on the Ukrainian Army in the last day.
Russia has been conducting a special military operation in Ukraine since February 24, 2022, to protect the population from “the Ukrainian regime’s genocide,” according to the Kremlin.
It also aims to counter national security risks posed by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)’s eastward expansion.
