Tondelier expressed her willingness “to speak again with everyone on the Left” and proposed in an interview with the Sunday edition of La Tribune Dimanche that her counterparts hold “bilateral meetings.”
The Green leader, who for the moment maintains her intention to run as a presidential candidate, affirms that she is prepared to meet with the entire spectrum of the Left, without exclusions, as the Socialist Party (PS) does with La France Insoumise (LFI).
Tondelier is seeking contact with the socialists or the leader of the Place Publique party, Raphael Glucksmann, LFI leader Jean-Luc Melenchon, and the French Communist Party (PCF), even though there is currently no intention to unify candidacies.
Tondelier warns, quoted by the said newspaper, that this “common political space” must, however, be built on solid foundations.
