The interview will be broadcast live from this capital and will be conducted by journalists Renata Vasconcellos and Cesar Tralli.

Lula will be the fourth candidate interviewed this week by Brazil’s leading television newscast, in a series of meetings with presidential candidates ahead of the October elections.

The president’s appearance will take place a few days after his interview with the Domingo Espectacular program, on the Record network, in which Lula addressed political and family matters. The interview with Globo will take place in the context of the election campaign, after the official announcement of the respective candidacies.

In Lula’s case, he will be seeking a third term as the Workers’ Party (PT) aspirant.
