“We do not take such statements seriously, especially since the Europeans’ actual actions indicate the opposite,” Galuzin said in an interview this Friday with Sputnik news agency.
The Russian deputy foreign minister stated that “the EU continues its destructive policy of supplying weapons to Kyiv and pressuring Russia with sanctions that are illegitimate under international law, with more than 20 packages of restrictions adopted since 2022.”
European leaders, Galuzin continued, merely make demands of Russia in public, “without showing any intention of discussing Russia’s concerns.”
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Moscow harbors no illusions about the EU’s actual plans to participate in the peace process in Ukraine.
