The program features the opening of Casa Brasil on the 17th, with the support of the Brazilian Embassy in Cuba, coinciding with the 120th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations.
Additionally, on the 24th and 25th, the event “Gender, Marronage, and Heritage” will be held at the Casa de Africa Museum, within the celebrations for the 52nd anniversary of Cuba-Senegal relations, with the cooperation of the NGO KCD and funding from the Bilbao City Council.
On September 8, the conference on the Legion of Honor awarded by France to the late City Historian, Eusebio Leal, will commemorate this highest distinction.
On the 4th will open the exhibition “Emilio Roig and Eusebio Leal: Two Great Collectors”, and the school year begins in the Museum Classrooms with the Fines Children’s Festival. On the 8th, the exhibitions “Leal Among Us V” and “The Memory of La Huella”.
The celebration of “Three Colossi, One Cuba,” a shared tribute with filmmaker Julio Garcia Espinosa, is planned at the Casa Titon y Mirtha.
Specially, on the 11th, the central date of his birth, the traditional ceremony will take place with the Lyceum Mozartiano Chamber Orchestra, and the exhibition “Shared Visions” by photographer Roberto Chile will open.
The month, which also includes the exhibitions “Intimate Connections” by Adrian Sancho and “The Underdogs” by Roniel Llerena, features the contests “Voices and Faces of Habaneras” and “Julio, Eusebio, and I,” activities for children, all in homage to Fidel Castro.
