The document notes that Noboa will remain outside Ecuador for six days, until September 23, and will participate in the multilateral body’s 81st session.
The Executive views the meeting as a “strategic opportunity to position the State’s priorities before the international community,” particularly regarding the fight against transnational organized crime.
Foreign Minister Roberto Kury had already announced Noboa’s presence in New York and said the meeting would be the president’s next scheduled international trip.
The General Assembly convenes representatives from member States annually to debate issues of international interest and present their respective governments’ positions.
