The Turkish Presidency’s Directorate of Communications noted that the meeting took place at the Turkish House in New York, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
Erdogan highlighted, during the talks, Turkiye’s solidarity with Kuwait and other countries in the region regarding the complex situation in the Middle East, which is marked by several conflicts.
The official statement noted that both leaders reviewed the state of bilateral relations, as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest.
The Turkish leader also underscored Ankara-Kuwait commitment to expanding cooperation in several fields, particularly trade and energy.
