At a joint press briefing with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, in Tehran, Araghchi accused European nations of complicity with Washington in attacks on Iran, pointing to events in France.

The foreign minister said, “Europe must face the truth; just like the United States, it is paying the price for its mistakes, and its misguided policies are the cause of many of the wars and problems facing the world today.”

The head of Iranian diplomacy stressed that diplomacy is the only way to address regional crises and they cannot be resolved through military means.

Lavrov, meanwhile, accused the United States and Israel of attacking Iran without justification, saying that Russia is ready to help resolve the crisis.
