Port-au-Prince, Nov 11 (Prensa Latina) The Haitian Je Klere Foundation on Thursday condemned the recent raid on the Court of First Instance in Port-au-Prince, and criticized that the robberies occurred in that institution are increasingly frequent.

The human rights organization demanded the Government an investigation to clarify the repeated thefts that threaten the judicial system.

In late October, armed individuals burst into the Palace of Justice in this capital, stole the Court’s safe and forced Gary Orlien’s office.

Orlien is investigating the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse, although, according to the authorities, those individuals could not take the documents collected about the assassination.

Je Klere assured that that operation is intended to hinder the progress of the investigation into Dorval’s assassination, which occurred in still unclear circumstances in August 2020.

The organization led by lawyer Samuel Madistin asked the competent authorities to take measures to return the missing files and to clarify the repeated acts of theft in that court.
