Israeli prime minister rejects Palestinian State and peace talks

Israeli prime minister rejects Palestinian State and peace talks
Tel Aviv, Jan 28 (Prensa Latina) Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett on Friday reiterated his rejection to establish a Palestinian State and restart peace talks with his leadership, as the United Nations and the international community demand.

It is good that people such as Foreign Minister Yair Lapid and Defense Minister Benny Gantz support the establishment of a Palestinian state, but my camp is opposed to it, the head of Government stressed during an interview with The Jerusalem Post, alluding to the ultra-right sector he represents.

The government alliance is made up of eight parties with several ideological trends.

Bennett justified his position by the decision of the Palestinian National Authority to support the investigations of the International Criminal Court for the crimes committed by Tel Aviv in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, included East Jerusalem.

After weeks of silence, the head of Government criticized the recent wave of settler violence against Palestinians, strongly questioned by left sectors of the opposition and even by several ministers such as Public Security Minister Omer Barlev.
