A group of candidates took advantage of Wednesday evening to do big massive acts, with music and invited artists, but others preferred to attract voters until the last minute.

From Friday, the political campaigning will be in force in all of Ecuador which means that any information or publicity that induces voters to take positions or preferences will be forbidden.

On the other hand, the National Electoral Council announced that 5,497 people deprived of their freedom without executed sentences could cast their votes this Thursday and Friday.

More than 13 million Ecuadorians are called next Sunday to elect 23 prefects and vice-prefects, 221 mayors, 864 urban councilors, 443 rural councilors, and 4,109 parish board members.
