Remains of US Soldiers killed in Vietnam Repatriated

Officials from the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry and the United States Embassy, as well as representatives from that country's permanent office in charge of the matter in Hanoi, attended the ceremony.
The US representatives expressed gratitude for this humanitarian gesture with which Vietnam expresses its willingness to overcome the moral consequences of the war. This was the 151st exchange of remains since the war ended.
In the 1960s and 70s, the United States carried out an undeclared war against Vietnam, the longest in its history, that cost many US lives and resources.
In addition to material losses, the invasion resulted in the death of 58,169 US troops, 973 of which were then considered missing. The remains of more than 725 have already been found, identified and returned to their families.
