At least three soldiers die due to blast in Turkey
9 de julio de 2020, 17:31Ankara, Jul 9 (Prensa Latina) At least three soldiers died on Thursday and 12 were wounded due to an accidental detonation that occurred during the transfer of explosive material in northwestern Turkey.
The incident took place in Sakarya province, when the troops were trying to take the artifacts saved in a fireworks factory, which registered several blasts six days ago, to a stone quarry.
According to local media, the purpose of the military was to safely disable the devices and, to do this, they had to first transport them in a truck.
The authorities reported that one of the injured remains in critical condition and the Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu traveled immediately to the scene.
On Friday, several detonations at the factory killed seven people and injured over 117.
As part of the investigations into the case, five individuals were arrested, including the entity's administrator and several supervisors.
