Tik Tok promises legal fight against veto of US operations
Beijing, Sep 18 (Prensa Latina) The mini-video application Tik Tok, launched by ByteDance China's company, warned on Friday that it will take legal action in defense of its rights and interests, given the interruption of its operations in the US from upcoming November.
On a press release, the popular app rejected the decision of the US Department of Commerce despite efforts in recent weeks to agree alliances with a domestic firm and clear suspicions about data collection.
The company highlighted its determination to fight in the courts, after indicating that the White House thus affects millions of users and small firms on its own country.
The social network from November 12 will face a ban on some technical transactions.
However, as of on Sunday, Washington will prevent its download and also from WeChat Chinese app, very similar to WhatsApp.
In addition, those applications will see a cessation of services, updates and codes to keep them active and WeChat will not be able to process operations such as the transfer of funds and payments.
