Dominican minister forecasts success for 2020-2021 school year
Santo Domingo, Sep 18 (Prensa Latina) The Dominican Minister of Education Roberto Fulcar forecasted on Friday the 2020-21 school year as successful, starting on November 2 remotely and with the use of digital technology.
In a speech delivered at the inauguration of a training program for facilitators and tutors, the minister stressed the importance of closing the technology gap in the country.
'Those facilitators are the ones who are going to train over 100,000 teachers who will learn to know and implement class planning, resources and training activities, assessment and monitoring of students, differentiating the synchronous and asynchronous learning modalities,' he added.
Likewise, Fulcar explained that the training is aimed to provide teachers and technical and pedagogical staff of the Dominican educational system, at all levels and modalities, with the elements which will guarantee students learn through alternative methods to face-to-face learning.
