Angola's authorities report 108 new Covid-19 cases
Luanda, Sep 29 (Prensa Latina) Angola's health authorities reported on Tuesday 108 new Covid-19 cases, accumulating 4,905 afflicted so far, with a fatality rate close to four percent.
On the usual press briefing, the Secretary of State for Public Health Dr. Franco Mufinda updated that Covid-19 patients in the last 24 hours are from the provinces of Luanda (106) and Benguela (two).
Dr. Mufinda also representative of the multisectoral commission for the prevention and fight against the pandemic reported 20 recoveries, 19 in Luanda and one in Cuanza Sul province. He also recorded another three deaths in the southern province of Huila, all were men aged 36, 39 and 77 years old, respectively.
So far, the expert summarized, Angola has accumulated 4,905 Covid-19 cases, including 179 deaths, 1,833 recoveries and 2,893 active cases.
Among Covid-19 patients, there are 10 in critical condition and 19 serious, but the majority, 2,720, do not have any clinical symptoms, the doctor said.
Covid-19 treatment centers look after 466 Covid-19 cases; the remaining active cases are in home isolation.
