Palestine rejects Trump's pressure for annexation plan in Geneva
Geneva, Sep 30 (Prensa Latina) Palestine denounced and rejected here on Wednesday US President Donald Trump's pressure on other countries to accept his plan on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, a proposal that Palestine's authorities considered favorable to the annexationist goals in the occupied West Bank.
'We urge the international community not to subordinate to Washington's mandates and to go beyond speech, with a recognition of the Palestinian State and the boycott of products from the territories occupied by Israel,' assured Ambassador Ibrahim Khraishi on intervening in the debates of the 45th session of the UN Human Rights Council.
In a forum dedicated to the situation of human rights in Palestine and other occupied Arab territories, the diplomat reiterated the rejection of the plan presented by Trump at the end of January and recalled the global condemnation of it.
According to Khraishi, the current US administration shows little respect for international law with its purpose of supporting annexation.
The diplomat also accused Israel of escalating its crimes, despite the crisis generated by the Covid-19 pandemic, based on its attacks on the civilian population and healthcare workers.
