Havana, Nov 26 (Prensa Latina) A total of 443 patients remain admitted today to Cuban hospitals for Covid-19 (active cases), after 49 new confirmed cases with the disease were reported in the last hours.
The report issued by the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap) this Thursday specifies that the new diagnoses bring to 8,775 the total of positive samples registered in this Caribbean nation since the first cases were known on March 11.
Of the 443 patients with the active virus, 441 have a stable clinical course, one is in serious condition and one is critical.
So far 133 people have died from complications associated with the disease, none of them yesterday.
In the last hours, 27 patients were discharged from hospital, for which there are already 7,497 people recovered from the pandemic in this Caribbean nation.
The day before, 10 thousand 596 diagnostic tests were studied throughout the national territory to detect the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which causes Covid-19, which brings the total number of samples taken to one million 72 thousand 107.
The new cases reported on this day belong to the provinces of Pinar del Río, Havana, Mayabeque, Matanzas, Cienfuegos, Villa Clara, Ciego de Ávila, Holguín, Granma, Santiago de Cuba and Guantánamo.
Of them, 47 are Cubans and two foreigners, 40 were contacts of confirmed cases and 29 had a source of infection outside this country, details the information from the Ministry of Health.
Cuban health authorities insist on self-responsibility and strict compliance with protection measures to control the pandemic and prevent the spread of the disease.
