Uruguay reports unprecedented numbers of Covid-19
Montevideo, Nov 28 (Prensa Latina) Uruguay reported today 186 new cases of Covid-19 and 1,122 convalescents, unprecedented figures of the pandemic here, which shows signs of a rising curve in the epidemiological chart.
Of those recently infected, 76 are from Montevideo, 41 from Canelones, 17 from Rivera, 17 from Rocha, 11 from Artigas, eight from Cerro Largo, five from Soriano, four from Maldonado, three from Colonia, two from Tacuarembo, one from Lavalleja and one from San Jose.
The dissemination of outbreaks in different areas continued to affect the ranks of soccer, with five positive in the Danubio team, which led the Federation of this discipline (FUS) to suspend a match with Peñarol corresponding to the Intermediate tournament.
The general director of Coordination of the Public Health Ministry, Karina Rando, warned that an increase in positive cases is expected throughout the country during the summer season and reiterated that specific actions are being taken to control this situation and not to lose epidemiological monitoring.
