Chileans reiterate friendship with Cuba
Santiago de Chile, Nov 28 (Prensa Latina) Representatives of a number of groups and organizations which make up the vast solidarity with Cuba movement in Chile reiterated their support to the island and its Revolution.
Tens of representatives of these organizations met today, for the first time on a virtual format, to celebrate the 26th National Meeting of the Solidarity with Cuba Movement, organized this year by groups from Talca city.
In a message addressed to the meeting, Cuban Ambassador Jorge Lamadrid expressed that a few hours after the anniversary of leader Fidel Castro's death, this meeting is paying homage to him and confirming the prevalence of his ideas of Latin American unity.
He pointed out that Cuban history is about unity, as a decisive condition to achieve the island's freedom, which was reflected in late 19th century in Jose Marti's gigantic work to unite all revolutionaries in a single cause.
This was ratified in the process for unity carried out by the triumphant Revolution in the early 1960s, which led to the creation of the Communist Party of Cuba, the diplomat said.
