China tightens measures on imported SARS-CoV-2

Even research on the new outbreak of the virus in Shanghai, Tianjin and the Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region points to containers that arrived with cargo acquired abroad.
The situation led to alerts from epidemiologists about the need to monitor all products arriving in China by import, including those that require cold chains, because the low temperatures could favor the survival of the microorganism during transportation.
But above all, the debate here was fueled by the question of whether SARS-CoV-2 really emerged in Wuhan, the Chinese city where it was first reported in the world and was most affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Some voices defend the thesis that the virus could have arisen in another country and reached the Huanan seafood market in Wuhan through foreign food, so they call to value other possible points of origin.
The Ministry indicated the disinfection of ships, airplanes and trucks before and after unloading the containers, to follow the destination of each lot and to conform an emergency plan in case of moving any with traces of the coronavirus.
In this way, China intends to reduce to the minimum possible the infections by this way and has already suspended the imports of 99 suppliers from 20 nations.
