As World Athletics reflects, the modification in the youth tournament calendar responds to the current situation with the Covid-19 pandemic, which forced its cancellation last season.
Nacac President Mike Sands expressed optimism regarding the development of the junior championship and thanked the Bermuda National Athletics Association for maintaining its commitment to host the event.
The Nacac Council this week approved the retention of the existing Carifta Games event schedule, as well as team fees. Arrivals will begin on June 30 with departures scheduled for July 5.

Monaco, Jan 23 (Prensa Latina) World Athletics confirmed today the change of the date of the Carifta 2021 Games for the month of July in Bermuda, as announced by the Athletic Association of North America, Central America and the Caribbean (Nacac).
Through its official website, the governing body ratified the celebration of the 49th edition of the regional youth athletics championship to be held in Bermuda on July 2 and 4 and not in April as planned in the calendar.
