Bolivia is ready to begin massive vaccination against Covid-19
24 de febrero de 2021, 14:22La Paz, Feb 24 (Prensa Latina) Bolivia will begin on Thursday the mass vaccination against Covid-19 with the antidotes of the Chinese pharmaceutical Sinopharm, of which they have half a million doses received on Wednesday by air.
Bolivia's Minister of Health and Sports Jeyson Auza informed in a press briefing that the immunization will begin in the city of Santa Cruz and with those drugs they will also be able to conclude the vaccination to the personnel of healthcare centers, especially to the sector that is in the front line of the fight against the pandemic.
Subsequently, the process will continue with the groups at risk of catching SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, including cancer patients and those with kidney problems, and then with the elder and people from 18 to 59 years old, free of charge.
In that line, the FM Rogelio Mayta advanced that the government will reach every corner of the country with the vaccines, since the 500,000 doses will be distributed to each department, according to its existing needs.
Mayta also thanked the China's people and government for the 100,000 vaccines and supplies donated in this shipment.
