Quito, Feb 26 (Prensa Latina) Ecuador will receive two million Covid-19 vaccines from the Chinese Sinovac Biotech, Health Minister Juan Carlos Zevallos announced.
Quito, Feb 26 (Prensa Latina) Ecuador will receive two million Covid-19 vaccines from the Chinese Sinovac Biotech, Health Minister Juan Carlos Zevallos announced.
'Sinovac has just approved two million doses for us. We are going to start the massive phase soon,' said the minister at a press conference.
According to details, one million of these vaccines will arrive in the country next March and the remaining million will reach in April.
'That is very important because it will allow us to cover quickly the required percentages of the population,' he warned.
On the other hand, he said that until March there will no longer be 86,000 doses from the Pfizer-BioNTech laboratories, but 270,000.
As the minister clarified, the new figure practically triples what was initially agreed.
