Buenos Aires, Feb 26 (Prensa Latina) An Aerolineas Argentinas plane on Thursday landed in this capital carrying 904,000 Chinese Sinopharm vaccine doses, vaccines the South American country is currently applying to vaccinate its population against Covid-19.
The aircraft, with 20 crew members aboard, was received at the Ezeiza International Airport by the Chief of Staff Santiago Cafiero, Minister of Health Carla Vizzotti, Foreign Minister Felipe Solá and the Chinese Ambassador to Argentina Zou Xiaoli.
Envirotainers, special containers with active temperature control, were used for the long journey, which in this case require special refrigeration level (2.0 to 8.0 degrees).
Since last December, Argentina began immunizing its population with a first batch of Russian Sputnik V vaccines.
