New Mongolia's President to be sworn upcoming June 25

Ulan Bator, Jun 15 (Prensa Latina) The Great Khural of Mongolia (Parliament) on Monday approved a resolution that sets June 25 as the day for the swearing-in ceremony of the country's President-Elect, U. Khurelsukh.
In the presidential elections held on June 9, the candidate of the Mongolian People's Party, U. Khurelsukh, won with 823,326 ballots, representing 67.8 percent of the total votes, the local Montsame news agency reported on Monday.
Meanwhile, the candidate of the Electoral Coalition of Right-wing People, D. Enkhbat, was second with 20.3 percent, and the candidate of the Democratic Party, S. Erdene, obtained only six percent.
Mongolia's new constitution stipulates that within 30 days after the elections are held, the winning candidate must be sworn in to the national parliament.
This new charter, adopted in 2019, also states that the president may only serve one seven- year-term.
