Iranian oil cargo for Lebanon arrives in Syria
Beirut, Sep 24 (Prensa Latina) The Hezbollah leadership on Friday announced the arrival of a second ship with Iranian fuel to Syria's Baniyas port that will later be transfered to Lebanon in tankers.
In a communique, the Party of God stated that the ship docked Thursday night without giving details of the quantity or kind of hydrocarbons.
Previously, the Islamic Resistance indicated that the aim of those cargos is to alleviate an energy crisis as a result of which the state electricity company barely pays for one or two hours of service.
Prime Minister Najib Mikati said that those Iranian shipments violate sovereignty, because Iran is subject to oppressive US measures.
The fuel will reset water pump in several cities, whose service was paralyzed for several days due to shortage of energy.
