USA Issues New Rule for Asylum-Seekers

According to the new lawsuit, migrants who had entered the United States through another nation, including minors who cross the border limits alone, will not be eligible to asylum.
The lawsuit only recognizes exceptions whether the asylum-seeker was illegally trafficked, or whether the nation he/she crossed was not a signatory to any of major international treaties relating to the Status of Refugees, which have been previously signed by most of the western nations.
Likewise, this new step would not apply to any asylum-seeker who sought protection in another territory and was denied there.
The Trump administration´s decision is essentially geared to stemming asylum protections as currently granted on the southern border.
