Argentine people march in defense of Evo Morales and Bolivia
11 de noviembre de 2019, 15:33Buenos Aires, Nov 11 (Prensa Latina) The flags of Argentina and Bolivia along with hundreds of wiphalas, which represents the ethnic groups of the Andes mountain range, mixed on Monday among a crowd of people who marched to support President Evo Morales.
As in dozens of cities in the world, in Buenos Aires thousands of protesters, more than 50 social organizations and a large community of Bolivian residents in this country expressed their rejection of the coup d'etat perpetrated yesterday against the president, and called to close ranks in these transcendental moments that South America lives.
'Evo is not alone,' there was an echo from the emblematic Obelisk of Buenos Aires to a packed Corrientes Avenue, where Argentines, Bolivians and other Latin Americans gathered until they reached the immediate vicinity of the headquarters of the Andean nation's embassy.
Here we are, the Argentine workers, supporting Evo, repudiating this coup and also the stance of Mauricio Macri's government, because not condemning the coup makes him an accomplice, union leader Roberto Baradel, general secretary of the Unified Workers Union of the Education of the Province of Buenos Aires, told Prensa Latina.
Canticles and the defense of democracy marked the massive demonstration in this capital, which also said enough and joined the world cry for Evo and the Bolivian people.
