Argentine president cautious about quarantine end
6 de mayo de 2020, 19:52Buenos Aires, May 6 (Prensa Latina) While certain sectors are pressing to lift the quarantine, Argentine President Alberto Fernandez showed caution on Wednesday, and stressed that leaving social isolation would lead thousands of people to death.
A few days after the end of the quarantine extension, Fernandez pointed out in an interview with Radio con Voz that lifting the restrictions amid a health emergency would lead to a big problem after everything that has been achieved.
The president said that they are studying new measures with protocols to authorize more activities, and regretted the opposition's views on economic destruction.
They (the opposition), with no coronavirus involved, destroyed the economy, noted the president emphatically, who took office nearly six months ago in a nation in crisis and economic recession.
After highlighting that those who rule have to take responsibilities, contrary to those who comment, he asked Argentineans to reflect, because 'there is a lot of bad intention and political intention.'
In this regard, Alberto Fernandez said that it is necessary to move cautiously, and criticized the perverse use of emotional instability of people who have been in quarantine for a long time and make absolutely crazy claims without taking the aftermaths into account, he said.
