Carnival Cruise Line will operate eight ships in August
Brussels, May 7 (Prensa Latina) The world's largest cruise operator, Carnival, will operate eight of its ships in August, as part of a gradual recovery.
The operator indicated that it will resume operations partially in order to recover normality in a seriously affected service. The recovering routes will operate from the ports of Miami, Port Canaveral and Galveston in the United States.
The World Health Organization (WHO) warned of the risk of getting ahead and resuming normal tasks due to the risk posed by Covid-19, particularly in the United States, the nation most affected as of today.
Carnival Dream, Carnival Freedom and Carnival Vista will depart the Port of Miami on August 1st and operate from the Port of Galveston.
Carnival Horizon, Carnival Magic and Carnival Sensation will operate from Miami, while Carnival Breeze and Carnival Elation will return to Port Canaveral, and resume operations from there.
The rest of cruise ships from other ports in the United States, Canada and Australia will remain canceled for another month.
The Preferred e-newsletter said that the Alaska-based cruise ships, which operate from Seattle or Vancouver, will remain anchored for the time being.
The gradual recovery of normality should control the safety problems on board. Carnival assures the ships are subjected to disinfection, but it does not explain what it will do to prevent passengers from bringing the virus on board.
