Bogota, May 11 (Prensa Latina) The Common Alternative Revolutionary Force (FARC) on Monday expressed that it will request some precautionary measures amid violence against ex-guerrillas in the process of reinsertion into civilian life.
Given the macabre toll of 196 ex-guerrillas assassinated, our decision is to request to the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights some precautionary measures, said Carlos Lozada, FARC senator, when uploading on Twitter an interview with Caracol Radio program.
In a context of continuing violence, the UN Verification Mission in this country strongly condemned the assassination of ex-guerrilla Wilder Daniel Marin this weekend.
This UN Mission also condemned the death of FARC member Wilder Daniel Marin Alarcon on May 7 in the municipality of Bello, Antioquia department.
Including Wilder, 24 murders have occurred in 2020, of those who are committed to their reinsertion, Alarcon said.
