United States carries out military operations in northern Syria
Damascus, (Prensa Latina) For four consecutive weeks, US soldiers and groups from the so-called Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have carried out operations in Deir Ezzor and Hasaka provinces, local media and social network activists reported on Friday.
'Helicopters from the US-led coalition carried out an air landing in the village of Shahil, some 45 kilometers of Deir Ezzor, where they kidnapped a person, whose whereabouts is unknown,' according to reports.
According to witnesses, local residents were awaken by the noise of the helicopters and shots by SDF members who surrounded the village, thus creating panic among them, especially children and women.
Other reports said that on Thursday, a US convoy made up of 40 vehicles arrived from northern Iraq in the Syrian province of Hasakeh through the illegal border crossing of Al-Walid.
The sources added that the caravan was composed of trucks laden with logistic materials and military equipment, nine armored Hummers and four vehicles equipped with telecommunications devices, all of which were escorted by SDF members.
