Seven CARICOM nations with no active Covid-19 cases
2 de junio de 2020, 17:8Georgetown, June 2 (Prensa Latina) At least seven nations of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) on Tuesday reported no active Covid-19 cases, out of the total of 2.701 currently in the region.
According to the CARICOM Today website, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Monserrat, Dominica, British Virgin Islands, Belize and Anguilla are already reopening their economies, as not currently having infected patients with coronavirus.
So far, Haiti reports the worst epidemiological scenario with 2,157 cases, in addition to 45 deaths and only 24 medical discharges.
Jamaica is the second nation with highest number of active infections in the Caribbean with 266, although it exceeds 311 recoveries and 9 deaths.
Although the number of recoveries is higher, Suriname (34), Bermuda (20), Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (11), Barbados (9), Granada (5), Turks and Caicos Islands (1) and Trinidad and Tobago (1), they report at least one patient in their medical centers.
