Venezuela condemns new US Government's aggression against Cuba
Caracas, Jun 4 (Prensa Latina) The Government of Venezuela on Thursday rejected a new aggression by the US administration of Donald Trump against Cuba, after seven companies from the Caribbean island were included in the unilateral list of Cuban Entities Restricted by the Department of State.
In a communiqué published on the website of the Foreign Ministry, the Bolivarian Government pointed out that once again, Washington's unlimited 'anachronistic obsession' was demonstrated, and that 'international law is trampled with every destabilizing action.
'Amid the humanitarian crisis caused by Covid-19 and riots throughout its national territory, the Government of the United States is trying to divert public opinion's attention by criminalizing the economic activity among sovereign countries such as Cuba and Venezuela,' the document stressed.
It added that the illegal and unjustifiable behavior of the US administration is a campaign strategy by a decaying government whose reelection is increasingly threatened by broad popular rejection.
'Washington implements its foreign policy to win adepts linked to the Latin America extreme right wing in the state of Florida,' Venezuelan authorities noted.
Venezuela ratified that as the US aggression against the peoples of Latin America escalates, friendly cooperation will increase, and its independence and development will be consolidated.
