Blow to the mafia in Mexico: imprisoned author of attack
Mexico, Jun 27 (Prensa Latina) Far from fulfilling its objective of intimidating and punishing, organized crime received a severe blow when the intellectual author of the attack against the capital's security chief Omar García Harfuch was arrested.
The violent action ended in serious failure when the security forces captured 19 of the 28 members of the command organized by the mafia gang known as the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, one of the most criminal in the country along with their opponents of the Santa Rosa Cartel led by El Marro.
Both criminal groups have received severe blows in recent months and their forces have been significantly decimated thanks to the action of the federal citizen security secretariat and its state or regional branches, such as the case of Mexico City.
Authorities of the latter instance consider that the detainee in Tonalá, José 'N', alias Vaca, is the head of assassins of the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel (CJNG) and the possible intellectual author of the attack against García Harfuch, who is recovering from the three shots receipts during the attack in which two of his bodyguards and a passerby woman died.
The gangster's last name is Briseño De Los Santos and he was detained in the Santa Catarina neighborhood, in Tláhuac, where, according to the first reports, 'he took refuge after the attacks and where, following the monitoring through video surveillance cameras, the policemen security have caught up. '
The first investigations reveal that Vaca, 35, operates under the orders of Carlos Andrés Rivera Varela, alias Morro, regional leader of the CJNG, in addition to the fact that 'he is responsible for the recruitment and training of hit men in the service of said cartel, mainly in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco '.
The Secretariat places Briseño De Los Santos as the person in charge of coordinating violent actions against members of antagonistic groups such as the Santa Rosa cartel with which they wage a war of positions that mourns Jalisco and Guanajuato for the brutal crimes they commit.
The intelligence reports indicate that the investigations reveal that De los Santos 'recruited the men who attacked the original citizens of Israel, allegedly gangsters, who lost their lives on July 24, 2019 in Artz Square.'
