Venezuela celebrates 46 years of diplomatic relations with China
Caracas, Jun 28 (Prensa Latina) The Venezuelan government sent greetings on Sunday to the Chinese authorities and people on the occasion of the 46th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two nations.
Through a message published by the Foreign Ministry, the Bolivarian Executive described the union between both nations as fruitful and unbreakable, in a scenario marked by the world health crisis, caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
In this regard, Venezuela thanked China for its cooperation in terms of epidemiological experience, scientific advice, personal diagnostic tests and medical supplies, which has helped save lives in the South American country and consolidated the ties of friendship.
The Venezuelan government ratified its commitment to raise to new levels the comprehensive strategic partnership with Beijing, based on the principles of equality, mutual benefit and shared gain.
'Likewise, at a time when the aggressions of the hegemonic powers against the sovereign rights and stability of our nations are increasing, it is necessary to join efforts in defense of the self-determination of peoples, international law and the peaceful resolution of disputes,' the statement said.
For this reason, Venezuela reiterated its commitment to support the principles of 'One China' and 'One country, two systems' for the special administrative region of Hong Kong, while rejecting any type of interference that attempts to disregard the territorial integrity of the Asian nation.
Caracas also ratified its support for the expansion and consolidation of the Strip and Route initiative, and endorsed the proposal for a community with a shared future for humanity, based on balance, cooperation and peace among nations.
