Indian Prime Minister talks to Russian President
New Delhi, Jul 2 (Prensa Latina) Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated President Vladimir Putin by telephone today on the 75th anniversary of his country's victory in World War II and the vote on constitutional amendments in Russia.
Modi highlighted the participation of an Indian contingent in the military parade held in Moscow on June 24 as a symbol of everlasting friendship between the two nations, India's Foreign Ministry's website reports. Both leaders noted the effective measures taken by their respective countries to deal with the adverse consequences of Covid-19 and agreed on the importance of strengthening bilateral ties in the face of world challenges in the aftermath of the current pandemic.
They also agreed to maintain the momentum of contacts and consultations for holding the annual bilateral summit in India later this year.
Putin, thanked Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his phone call and reiterated his commitment to further strengthen the Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership between the two countries in all areas.
