Cuba participates in Ibero-American meeting for cooperation
6 de julio de 2020, 16:9Havana, Jul 6 (Prensa Latina) The First Vice-Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment of Cuba (MINCEX), Ana Teresita Gonzalez, participated this Monday in the 3rd Meeting of National Coordinators and Cooperation Officers of Ibero-America.
On twitter, the vice-president of MINCEX pointed out that the virtual meeting, generated from Andorra, constitutes the preparatory meeting for the Ibero-American Summit, under the theme 'Innovation for Sustainable Development-Objective 2030.'
The meeting, which will last until Tuesday, has among its objectives to find solutions to respond to the health and economic crisis caused by the new coronavirus pandemic and to establish the calendar of the Ibero-American Conference for the second half of the year.
National coordinators and cooperation officers will also be able to identify strategic priorities for joint planning, promote common services and establish unitary communication.
The conclusions of the dialogue rounds will be taken into consideration during the 27th Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government in Andorra.
Twenty-two nations, 19 from Latin America and the Caribbean, plus Portugal, Spain and Andorra, are participating in the Summit, which has been held since 1991.
