Turkey sends more military convoys to Idlib, Syria
Damascus, jul 11 (Prensa Latina) Three Turkish Army convoys entered in the last hours the northern Syrian province of Idlib, located 335 kilometers north of this capital.
The military caravans entered through the Kaferlosin border crossing, and include more than 70 armored vehicles and trucks loaded with logistical and military material to reinforce the Turkish bases and observation points in Idlib, Syrian media reported on Saturday.
They said that so far more than 4,500 vehicles and more than 8,000 Turkish troops have been reported to have entered Syria.
Since 2018, Turkey carried out several operations on Syrian territory that ended up with the deployment of thousands of Turkish soldiers in almost 5,000 square kilometers in the Syrian provinces of Idlib, Aleppo, Raqa and Hasakeh.
The Syrian government described this presence as an occupation and denounced that Istanbul forces apply a policy of 'turkeysizing' by imposing their laws in these areas.
