Mexico reports almost 300,000 cases, over 35,000 deaths to Covid-19
Mexico, Jul 13 (Prensa Latina) Mexico is close to 300,000 Covid-19 cases, after reporting 299,750 infections included 4,482 new patients, while death toll rose to 35,006 after registering 274 other deaths.
Of that total, 29,839 patients remain active, 843 less than Saturday, while suspects dropped to 74,563 after reporting 3,830 less than Saturday. This is an indication that people are taking care of themselves a little more.
Of the current cases, 29.26% are hospitalized and 70.74% are receiving outpatient treatment, according to figures given by Dr. Hugo Lopez-Gatell, Undersecretary of Prevention and Health Promotion, during his usual evening press briefing at the National Palace.
Lopez-Gatell said that 184,764 patients have been recovered, which is very encouraging. The doctor again called on the population and recalled that we are all responsible to fight the pandemic, for which we have a joint responsibility in its positive or negative development.
